SUBMITTING TO Fairy Tale Review

The reading period is now open for the fifth issue of Fairy Tale Review (The Aquamarine Issue), our annual journal. The issue is forthcoming in December 2010. We will welcome your submissions from April 15 to September 15, 2008. Unlike our last reading period, this time around we assure you we will respond to your submissions in a completely, nearly ridiculously timely fashion! We welcome you to simultaneously submit your work elsewhere; we only ask that if you have something we’re considering accepted that you let us know.

At the moment, Fairy Tale Review accepts submissions only via email. Again, this is for the journal; the Press is not currently reviewing manuscripts as our slate is full for the foreseeable future.

Please attach your submission as a single Word file (.doc, not .docx). If you attach the file in another format, depending on our computer’s ability we will either open it or not, and if we can’t open it, you will receive an email back letting you know you’ll need to resubmit.

For the subject of your email, please use:

Author’s Name, “Title of Submission” (If you are sending a set of poems, you may title your submission simply “Poems”)

In the body of your email, please include two things. A cover letter in the form of a contributor's note AND a personal statement about your interest in fairy tales. Again, please include these two things: cover letter in the form of contributor's note, AND a personal statement on fairy tales. Thanks!
